Tournament Guidelines
We strive to conduct a fair and sportsmanlike competition. Participants, coaches, and referees are kindly requested to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Coaches must check in their teams upon arrival, completing both payment and registration. Please consolidate team payments into one transaction.
- Referees will operate under the guidance of Shihan Willy De Peuter and are required to wear official referee uniform.
- Coaches are expected to wear tracksuits and maintain exemplary conduct to serve as role models for their students. Any inappropriate behavior may result in disqualification of the participant, coach, or dojo.
- Only one coach is permitted per dojo within the competition area. Coaches and athletes are the only individuals allowed in this zone; all spectators must remain in designated areas such as the tribune or cafeteria.
Competition Format
The kata competition will follow an elimination system, similar to the kumite pyramid format. Referees will use flags to determine the winner of each match. In categories with fewer than four participants, a pool system will be implemented.
Elimination Rounds: Competitors will perform katas chosen by referees from the designated elimination kata list. For semi-finals and finals, participants may choose and perform a kata of their preference.
